The views from the upper floors are stunning, especially at sunset. The parking fees are pretty steep at $40 a night. Easy access to bike tours and public transit is a plus. Elevators can be slow during busy times, so plan accordingly.

Rooms have great views of the city. The pool closes early, so my kids couldn't swim at night. Perfect spot for biking around the city and getting to attractions quickly. Parking fees are steep at $40 a night.

Spacious room, spacious gym with great quality electrical appliances and a comfortable bed that enhanced my stay and provided a perfect atmosphere to relax after exploring the city.
Couldn't find any faults at all.

I was really disappointed when my wife had trouble checking in because of my last-minute military commitment. The front desk was unhelpful, insisting I needed to be there, making a stressful situation even harder for her. Not cool.

The view from my upgraded room was absolutely stunning. The coffee shop downstairs serves decent coffee and it's a perfect spot to chill.
The reception staff could use a lesson in warmth.

The rooftop pool offered stunning views and the sun terrace was perfect for soaking up the California sunshine! My upgraded room was exceptionally lovely, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home. The breakfast selection was delightful, with tasty granola and fresh fruit that I couldn't get enough of!
Totally recommend! 😊❤️

Great value for money. Spacious, clean room with breathtaking views. The proximity to a cable car stop was a convenient touch. I appreciated Whole Foods nearby for meal savings and the variety of local restaurants. Customer service was outstanding; staff was friendly and accommodating. The bed provided the best sleep I’ve had in months—so good I purchased the same brand when I returned home. the bathroom could use a powerful fan, and the pool area needs improvement. A continental breakfast would be a welcome addition. The location is a bit distant from the main tourist attractions, making a car or taxi necessary. a solid choice with room for enhancement.

Clean and modern with great amenities, the lobby café had tasty, fresh meals. The room had everything I needed, and the view was fantastic. Location was a huge plus, with bus stops nearby and easy access to attractions. Unfortunately, my first room was not properly cleaned, and noise from the elevators was disruptive. It was disappointing to encounter an unexpected daily charge on my account as well. Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere made it enjoyable, but the issues with cleanliness and noise might keep me from returning.

I had a great time exploring this area, with Fisherman's Wharf just a short stroll away and plenty of restaurants and shops all around, making it super easy to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a scenic walk by the bay; the room was spacious and comfy with an excellent view, perfect for winding down after a day out, but the hotel could enhance their local transit guide to better inform guests of schedule changes.

Great rental bikes available for exploring the area! The morning coffee was strong and fresh, with yummy snacks in the lobby.
It wasn’t cheap, but it was worth every penny!

Staying steps away from amazing Nob Hill entertainment was a blast for our large family. The full, service hotel made it easy to plan fun day trips like visiting Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. We also enjoyed catching Golden State Warriors games at the Oakland Arena , a slam dunk for NBA fans!
My wife says that an on, site kids' club would enhance family stays.

The 18th-floor view at Holiday Inn San Francisco - Golden Gateway was breathtaking, perfect for watching sunrises. The hotel’s cafe offered delicious takeaway breakfasts, and parking was hassle-free. While there were some service hiccups, the overall atmosphere and location made for a pleasant stay.

The room was large, providing a cozy bed that made for restful nights. Temperature control was easy to adjust, ensuring comfort throughout my stay. I had beautiful views of both the sunrise and sunset, enhancing the overall experience. There was some noise from the hallway, but it didn’t disrupt sleep. The gym and pool facilities were well-maintained, and I appreciated the extra amenities like tea, which arrived quickly. the double beds in the grand view room felt a bit cramped for four people. The confusion over breakfast left room for improvement in communication.

We hit up the Oakland Arena for some dope Warriors games and were just steps away from Nob Hill, where the nightlife was insane. The staff helped us plan our next trip to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Definitely coming back for more fun!
Just one thing - we could use even more epic party spots nearby for us youngins to keep the vibes going strong! .

Comfortable bed and clean rooms. Great view from the higher floors, and close to public transport. Enjoyed having a bar/coffee shop and a dispensary nearby for convenience.
Noise issues were not addressed promptly, leading to a significant inconvenience. Lack of cleanliness and poor communication regarding room changes.

Let's start with the positives , I really appreciated the effort put into creating a cozy atmosphere in the room. The heating and air conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring that the temperature was just right throughout my stay. It was a relief to have a comfortable environment to relax in after a long day of exploring the city. One thing I particularly enjoyed was the availability of tea and coffee facilities in the room. It was so nice to wake up in the morning and have a hot cup of coffee right at my fingertips. It really added to the overall comfort of my stay. there were definitely areas that could use improvement. For instance, I found the sitting area to be a bit cramped, which made it challenging to relax after a day of sightseeing. the dressing area felt a bit cramped and could benefit from some reorganization to make it more user, friendly. On the bright side, the free Wi, Fi in the rooms was a great convenience. I was able to stay connected and plan out my itinerary without any issues. I did notice that the carpeted floors in the room seemed a bit worn out and could use some updating. In terms of amenities, I wish there were more options available for car hire or laundry services. It would have made my stay even more convenient if those services were readily accessible. my experience at Holiday Inn was a mix of positives and areas for improvement. I hope this review helps you in planning your trip!

I loved sipping cocktails in the full-service bar near Nob Hill, easily accessing iconic attractions.
The dust situation in the rooms had me feeling like I was on a treasure hunt for hidden surfaces.

The Holiday Inn San Francisco provided the ideal space and services catered to my specific needs. The convenient amenities, like the onsite restaurant and bar, meeting and event facilities, and scenic views in select accommodations, pleasantly surprised me. Additionally, the opportunity for kids to eat free from the main menu in the on-site restaurant was a great bonus.

The Holiday Inn San Francisco - Golden Gateway was the perfect choice for our family weekend trip. The location was fantastic, with easy access to public transport and a short walk to restaurants and shops on Polk St. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The lifts were fast and there was even a guest laundry. The staff was courteous and the security measures gave us peace of mind. We also enjoyed the beautiful views from our room.

We were delighted with the stunning view from our corner king city view room on the 20th floor. The heated pool was a refreshing experience, even in November. The convenient location allowed us to explore the city on foot. Overall I'd recommend this hotel.
